Fundação Faculdade de Medicina
Created in 1986, the Fundação Faculdade de Medicina (FFM) is a private, non-profit entity that promotes teaching, research and health care by supporting the activities of the Medical School of the University of São Paulo (FMUSP) and at Hospital das Clínicas (HCFMUSP). Recognized for its relevant philanthropic legacy, the Fundação Faculdade de Medicina (FFM) contributes to the improvement of the administrative and financial management of these units, providing greater agility, effectiveness and assertiveness to academic and assistance initiatives in the health areas.
The Institution is certified by the Ministry of Health as a Beneficent Social Assistance Entity and qualified as a Social Health Organization of the State of São Paulo.
FFM develops, supports, manages and maintains hundreds of comprehensive health assistance projects, institutional, research, innovation, clinical studies and health policy projects, through agreements signed with public and private institutions, national and international, with the hiring of researchers and professionals allocated directly to the research, in addition to the acquisition of materials and equipment.
Publicly recognized for its performance as a charitable social assistance entity, the FFM maintains a cooperation agreement with the Secretary of State for Health (SES-SP), which provides for the carrying out of a wide range of managerial activities.
In the areas of teaching and research, it also plays a relevant role, both at FMUSP and at HCFMUSP, promoting courses, events, scientific projects, among other initiatives.
FFM maintains cooperation agreements with SES-SP, for the joint realization of a series of activities such as:
The Institution also supports teaching and research programs of the FMUSP-HC System by financing extension courses, research projects, conferences, clinical studies, technological innovation and entrepreneurship programs, among many other initiatives.
Currently, FFM has approximately 11,600 professionals who work directly in care activities, development of comprehensive health care and care for SUS patients, in addition to almost 350 allocated in direct administration.
The constant investment in the structural and technological modernization of the FMUSP-HC academic system is another central objective of the Foundation, as well as the improvement of the management and services provided by its employees. For this reason, there are intense efforts to promote qualifications, training and courses.
The credibility that the FFM built with the subsidizing bodies has increased the volume of values handled by the Institution in recent years, with operating revenues fully reversed in favor of the institutional operation and the projects carried out.
