The Consultative Department works to prevent conflicts, thus avoiding the judicialization of processes. Its team works with a broad view of the Institution in order to encompass other areas and recognize possible problems and points of legal action, in addition to identifying the most appropriate arguments for each extrajudicial agreement. The department reports to the Legal Department and its other duties are:

• Seek out-of-court solutions to cases;
  
• Issue legal opinions based on legislation, jurisprudence, doctrine and other applicable rules;
  
• Instruct the other areas, guide the best practices and act in an educational manner;
  
• Assertively guide the adoption of conduct in the various areas that are in compliance with the relevant legislation.
